Mother's Day Gift Ideas for Her Home

Now that Easter has passed, next up
for celebration is that of our Mothers and although she might insist there is no need for a gift, those who love to give in
appreciation for all Mom has given over a lifetime look for a special gift to bestow upon her on Mother's Day.
For
those Moms who spend much of their day in the kitchen, a bright and cheery canvas rug at the sink is a great gift idea and
a way to say thanks for all you do so well. These kitchen rugs add a refreshed look to the often most used room in the
home. By placing tacky putty around the perimeter of the rug, the canvas rug will stay in place and not curl at the edges.
Mom will love the easy maintenance of a simple wet mop cleaning.
Or perhaps Mom would love a little decorators
touch to her living room, dining room or bedroom with a design you or your children create just for her. Laurel's Originals
has options for both custom painted and in-house designs that will adorn, affordably, any room in the home.
Other decorating ideas include hand painted covers for pillows
and cushions, a custom duvet cover, place mats and runners for the dining table. All items are handmade with 100% cotton canvas
and machine washable, so easy to take of.
Rug Design Contest Extended
We have extended
our Canvas Rug Design Contest to run through December 5th. This gives you plenty of time to come up with an idea, find a photo
or put design to paper. The design can be for any room in the home and would be for a 2' x 3' area rug, made of canvas, of
course. The winner will be awarded their custom design canvas rug. Please invite your family and friends to join Laurel's
Design Newsletter...as the contest is open only to our family of subscribers.
Website Update
If you are curious about the "how
to" of making a canvas rug, my blog goes through both the design process and the making of a custom rug made for a client,
Tamarindo Pacific Interiors. You'll find photos of various stages as well as the finished product. It was a terrific and challenging
project and one I'm proud to share. See the blog and photo >
